How to establish working rights in Greece

Greece is part of the European Union, which means that anyone holding a European passport can easily obtain rights to work in our country. The same applies for people who have active refugee status or are members of a Greek family.

To be legally working in Greece, specific documentation needs to be issued for you.

At TTEC, we have a legal partner that takes care of that for you, as long as you provide them with the needed documents that allow them to proceed without you, so you can focus on finding a place to stay instead.

You’ll need to arrive in Greece at least 7 days prior to your start date so that we can apply for the tax code on your behalf.

Documents we will need:
First time coming to Greece and don’t have a place yet?

We register you under the tax office for people living abroad. Once you find a home, you need to change your tax office accordingly.

At the end of the year you will need the help of an accountant for your tax report.
